Supporter Information: Play-off Final At Dalymount

Here is everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s Men’s First Division Play-off Final against Bray Wanderers at Dalymount Park, kicking-off at 4pm.

Tickets 🎟️

Adult Tickets: €20

Child (U14): €6

Gates open from 3pm.

Tickets MUST be purchased online, there are no tickets available on the gate. Children must be accompanied by an attending adult to gain admission.

Athlone fans will be in sections E, F  and G. You will enter this section via the gate between the Des Kelly and Jodi Stand.

Bus Service 🚌

The club is providing a bus service between Athlone Town Stadium and Dalymount Park for Saturday’s Play-off fixture. The bus departs from Athlone at 1.30 pm and costs €20 per person. Buy your bus ticket HERE.

Public Transport 🚆

Irish Rail will operate trains between Athlone and Heuston Station on the day. Click HERE to view the timetables. Be sure to select a train arriving in Dublin at least 90 minutes before kick-off to allow ample time for city transport to Phibsboro and to account for any potential delays.

Upon arriving at Heuston, take the LUAS Red Line (toward The Point or Connolly Station) into the City Centre. Get off at either the Jervis Street or Abbey Street stops, and transfer to the LUAS Green Line on O’Connell Street, which will bring you to the Phibsboro stop, a short five-minute walk from Dalymount. Alternatively, the 120, 122, 39, and 39A bus routes, available on O’Connell Street, also pass through Phibsboro.

Car Parking 🅿️

There is ample street parking available around Dalymount Park; however, please note that all areas are paid parking zones. Arriving early is recommended, as these spots tend to fill up quickly near the stadium.

Pubs 🍻

The Mono Bar, located under the stand at Dalymount Park, will open at 3 pm for Athlone Town supporters to enjoy a range of beverages. Additionally, numerous pubs are within walking distance of the stadium

Athlone fans will be well acquainted with Tallaght Stadium over recent years, as the women’s team return to the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup Final for a third year in a row against Shelbourne FC.

Blocks 103, 104 (West Stand). Blocks 201, 202 (North Stand) are allocated to ATAFC supporters for this year’s final.

Buses 🚌

Several buses will be running return trips to transport supporters from Athlone Town Stadium to Tallaght Stadium. The buses will depart at 12.45pm so make sure to get down early to avoid delayed departures. If you wish to avail of this service, use the link below to book your seat now.

Parking 🅿️

For those travelling by car, we recommend parking in The Square Shopping Centre where a “Pay at the Exit” system is in place.

Supporters can park for up to three hours for €1 and each hour thereafter will be charged at €2. Payment can be made directly at the exit barrier by tapping your credit or debit card. If paying by cash, please visit a pay station before returning to your car. Supporters may also use the free public car park located behind the Civic Theatre, which is accessible from Belgard Square North.

Please do not park in the Arena / Woodies car park as you may be clamped.

This guide offers advice to any supporters travelling to Athlone Town Stadium on match nights.

  • Athlone Town Stadium is located just off exit 10 on the M6 motorway.
  • 1.5km from Athlone Train Station and Athlone Bus Station. Approximately a 20 minute walk.
  • Away Supporters are located at the end of the Main Stand. (HIGHLIGHTED BELOW)

Parking 🅿️

  • There is strictly no parking inside the stadium for away supporters.
  • Parking can be found in the surrounding areas of the stadium (HIGHLIGHTED BELOW)

Flags & Banners 🏴

Flags & Banners are most welcome in Athlone Town Stadium; however, they are not allowed to cover any sponsorship signage. If they are found to be covering these sponsored signs, the owner will be asked to move it to a designated area.

We encourage supporters to place their flags up along the back of the stand, (HIGHLIGHTED BELOW).

Supporters are also asked not to use any tape to secure their banners to the railings; cable ties or string is preferred.

Facilities 🚻

  • Two separate sets of men’s and women’s restrooms are located at each end of the stand.
  • A kiosk located behind the stand serves tea, coffee, snacks, and hot food.
  • Wheelchair accessible viewing area is located on the far left-hand side of the stand down at the front facing the pitch (HIGHLIGHTED BELOW). Wheelchair carparking can be reserved by emailing secretary@athlonetownafc.ie

Additional information ℹ️

Alcohol is prohibited in the ground. Any alcohol will be taken and disposed of prior to entry. There is no smoking permitted in the Main Stand.

Security: Bag checks and security screening may be conducted upon entry. Please review the stadium’s prohibited items list to avoid any complications. Anyone found in possession of pyrotechnics will be refused entry to the ground.

This guide offers advice for any Athlone Town supporters travelling to Waterford FC on Friday night.

Stadium Information 🏟

  • The Waterford Regional Sports Centre (RSC) is located in the Kilbarry area of Waterford City.
  • Approx 3km from Waterford Train Station and Waterford Bus Station.
  • Away Supporters are located in Blocks A + B of the “New Stand” and in the Terrace section adjoining. (YELLOW)
  • Away supporter entrance is on the SuperValu side of the ground. (RED)

Parking 🅿️

  • There is strictly no parking inside the stadium for away supporters.
  • Parking can be found in the surrounding areas of the stadium (highlighted in the image below)
  • There is strictly no match day car parking allowed in Supermacs.

Buses 🚌

  • Supporter Buses will be requested to pull up in the SuperValu overflow car park next to the stadium.
  • Passengers to stay on board and Garda / Stewards will direct buses 1 by 1 to the away entrance turnstiles.
  • Buses will return to the SuperValu overflow car park until Half Time.
  • At Half Time, buses will be directed back to the away entrance gates and allowed to enter the ground for post-match pick up.

Pre Match Food and Beverage Options
Food 🍟

For supporters looking to get food before entering the stadium, there are a few options all within a couple of minutes’ walk of the RSC, with McDonald’s and Supermacs in close proximity.

Pubs 🍻
The Woodman Pub in Waterford City has made themselves available to house away supporters on match day. Located in the city centre, the Woodman is a 20-minute walk to the ground (5-minute drive).

Facilities 🚻

Toilets and hot food will be available in the away section.

Supporter Information: Markets Field

Athlone Town fans travelling to tomorrow’s game against Treaty United at the Markets Field can purchase their tickets HERE.

The advisable route for fans would be to travel via the M18 after exiting the M6 outside of Athenry as it is an easier road to travel.

The Track Bar is just outside the away end. Note that fans are not allowed out for a half time pint.

There is no parking at the stadium itself. However there is plenty of street parking in the area. Away fans should find it convenient to park on Mulgrave Street. Away buses also park there.

The away end is behind the goal with the stand. Depending on numbers a shop and hot food is available in the away end. If not fans are free to walk around to the home end where a wide variety of refreshments are on sale.

This guide offers advice for any Athlone Town supporters travelling to Bray Wanderers on Friday night.

Stadium Information 🏟

The away end is directly in front of the turnstiles. Bray Wanderers have no issues with people going over to the sheltered stand if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Parking 🅿️

There’s plenty of parking spaces on the streets around the ground. The Bray seafront also has plenty of car parking spaces, and there should be no issues with finding a spot.

Food 🍟

There’s a small shop in the ground which will have tea, sweets, koka noodles, as well as a burrito bar for those looking for some hot food, with chips served also. There are some restaurants located on the Bray seafront, which is just a stone’s throw away from the stadium.

Additional Information ℹ️

Security

There is a no bag policy enforced at the Carlisle Grounds. Anyone that brings bags with them will be asked to leave them in the shop beside the turnstiles, where they can be collected after the game. Random security searches will take place upon entry to the stadium.
