The Athlone Town AFC Media and Communications team are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with a number of roles ahead of the 2025 season for our Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams.
We are currently recruiting for the following roles;
- Camera Operator
LOITV, in partnership with Premier Sports, stream all fixtures at Athlone Town Stadium. We are looking for volunteers to assist with operating the live streaming cameras on matchdays.
- Academy Co-Ordinator
Aside from adult level, there’s lots of action taking place at academy level within the club. We’re looking for somebody organised who will be able to keep everybody updated on the fixtures and results across all underage boys and girls fixtures, both on social media and on our website.
- Matchday Photographer / Videographer
If you have a passion for sports photography or videography, this role is for you. We’re looking for someone with an eagle eye behind the lens to capture the action both on the pitch and in the stands on matchdays. Keep in mind that games will be at night during spring and autumn, so experience with night time action shots will be required.
- Website Manager
We are seeking assistance with maintaining and updating the athlonetownafc.ie website on a regular basis. Experience with WordPress CMS, SEO and image optimisation is desirable.
- Match Reporter & Programme Editor
If you have a background in journalism, or just love describing the action after a game, your skills could be utilised for writing short match reports for our website as well as content for match programmes. Similarly, if you have experience designing match programmes via InDesign, we would love to utalise your skills.
Attributes Desired:
- Proficiency in relevant skills outlined above.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Availability on Friday or Saturday evenings for matches, home or away where possible.
- Passion for football.
