Longford moved off the foot of the table with victory on Monday night against Treaty United. Athlone have been in good form recently but there away form is still not where they would like.
Coming into the game, AthloneTownAFC.ie spoke to manager Dario Castelo and he gave his thoughts on the fixture.
“We are taking each game as it comes. We know we are in a difficult game. Everyone worked well together to get the 3 points Friday and we need to keep untied to get a result.”

Athlone Town AFC have a couple of injury concerns, Noah Van Geenen is still ruled out. Oisin Duffy is still returning to play gradually, both German and Aaron Connolly return from suspension.

A draw earlier this year following a poor first half performance from Athlone.
