Athlone come into the game just two points shy of last year’s season total for points gained. Last time out Bray beat Athlone 1-0 and Athlone went on to pick up points in six of the seven fixtures.

Bray who are without a game last week will be rearing to go in this game to cement their playoff hopes this season.

Athlone Town AFC have a couple of injury concerns, Enda Minogue is still returning to play gradually, and the exciting Jamar Campion Hinds is still struggling with injury.

Bray Wanderers FC arw without Defender Evan Osam is ruled out. Striker Cristian Magerusan, midfielder Shane Griffin, and defender Jamie Duggan are all rated doubtful.

Past Encounters

The first game this season finished 3-0 to Bray, Athlone were not at the races on that occasion. The home fixture for the town following that saw Athlone victorious on that winning 2-1 thanks to a Dean Ebbe brace. In June it was the Seagulls who took the spoils that to a Magerusan penalty which was the only goal of the game.

For Athlone Town AFC, he’s finally here Peter McGregor arrived in style last week and will be looking to add to his debut goal last week.

Bray Wanderers Peter Grogan score in the first fixture and he has seven goals already this season which is an excellent return for young forward.
