Casey Howe Wins April Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month Award
Athlone Town forward Casey Howe clinched the top spot in the April voting for the Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month, ahead of Shelbourne captain Pearl Slattery and Cork City’s Eva Mangan.
The Enniskillen native scored a brace in Athlone’s huge 3-1 win over champions Peamount last month at Athlone Town Stadium that was televised live on TG4. One of those strikes was also nominated for the League of Ireland Goal of the Month. Ciaran Kilduff’s side currently second in the table with 10 points from the opening five games.
Howe is joining life at her new club having only joined the Town at the start of the season from Sligo Rovers back in January and has made a massive impact so far, scoring five goals already this season.
